DP Master

The operating environments in which our products are used, the additional stresses they are subjected to demand products of the highest quality, robustness and serviceability. DP-Master superior products are rugged, operational-friendly and less susceptible to damage during stabbing and make up. Our double shoulder high torque connections are uncomplicated, using API thread form and taper thereby ensuring connection repair is straightforward with minimum loss of tool joint length. As a result DP-Master products have a lower cost over their lifecycle making our drill strings the first choice for many end users.

Drill Collar

DP-Master drill collar bars are heat-treated in our modern quench and temper plant and only the highest quality raw material from world-class mills is used . DP-Master utilizes AISI 4137H and 4145H modified steel. Drill collars are manufactured in sizes from 3 1/8” OD to 11” OD in accordance with API Spec 7-1 and NS-1 specifications. Drill Collars can also be supplied in our proprietary sour service material.

Drill Pipe

DP-Master manufactures the complete range of API drill pipe products from 2 3/8” OD to 6 5/8” OD in Range 2 and Range 3 sizes up to 48 feet in length. In addition to standard API 5DP specifications, DP-Master also manufactures drill pipe in accordance with the following industry specifications:

• NOSRSOK
• TH HILL
• IRP 1.8 Sour Service
• Customer Specific Specifications

Design: DP-Master drill pipes are designed with long and smooth transition from upset to tube body to reduce the stress concentrations due to the transition from the upset ID to the drill pipe ID.

Heavy Weight Drill Pipe

DP-Master manufactures heavy weight drill pipe from 2 7/8” OD to 6 5/8” OD in Range 2 and Range 3 lengths.

HWDP can be supplied either in Conventional Friction Welded or Integral design in accordance with API Spec 7-1 and NS-1 specifications.

HWDP can be supplied in Conventional Slick, Spiralled or Tri-Spiral forms. Apart from standard API and NS-1 grades, DP-Master can supply Sour Service HWDP in friction welded or integral form.

Drill String Accessories

DP-Master offers pup joints and rotary subs to compliment the drill string. A complete range of drilling subs, floor subs and pump-in subs are manufactured in accordance with industry standard or client specific specifications.

Sour Service Products

For H2S environments DP-Master has engineered several products for drill pipe, HWDP, Drill Collars and accessories. These range from the most critical service product, NACE tested SS-105 meeting the IRP 1.8 specification to our DPMCY-105 controlled yield & hardness products for less critical H2S service. HWDP, Drill Collars and accessories can be manufactured from our unique and proprietary DPM 110-SS grade, which can pass a NACE test at 65% of SMYS.

DPM – DS (DOUBLE SHOULDER ROTARY CONNECTIONS)

DP-Master has engineered, tested and acquired industry approval for two types of double-shouldered connection.

The DS connection is a generic API double shoulder connection, which is widely used throughout the industry in extended reach drilling.

The MT connection is an enhanced DS connection with additional 25% torsional strength allowing clients to drill the most challenging wells.

DPM – MT

The MT Master Torque connection was designed as a high performance rotary shouldered connection for use in very severe drilling operations.

A well engineered design which evolved from original DPM-DS connection enhanced the mechanical capabilities while still retaining the principle of cost efficiencies in DPM-MT connection.

Thanks to increased torsional strength, the DPM-MT connection delivers superior performance in Extended Reach Drilling (ERD), High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) and Ultra Deep Drilling.
